Central Arkansas
Children’s Advocacy Center
A safe place for children to be heard & begin healing
Our Vision
Our Core Services
When allegations of abuse or neglect arise, children need a safe, supportive environment where they can share their story and receive help. The Central Arkansas Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) provides that space.
Our CAC brings together law enforcement, child protection, healthcare providers, and advocates in one child-friendly setting. This coordinated approach reduces trauma, ensures children receive the care they need, and helps families begin the healing process — all at no cost.
Forensic Interviews
Trained professionals conduct interviews in a safe, child-friendly environment using trauma-informed techniques. Each interview is respectful and designed to minimize the number of times a child must retell their story.
Advocacy & Family Support
Families are guided through the legal and social service systems with compassion and care. A dedicated advocate walks beside them every step of the way, offering information, comfort, and connection to needed resources.
Trauma-Focused Therapy
Evidence-based counseling helps children and families heal emotionally and build resilience. Therapy services are tailored to support recovery, reduce anxiety, and restore a sense of safety and hope.
Medical Services
Specialized medical exams are provided by trained healthcare professionals to ensure children receive compassionate, immediate care. These services help assess wellbeing, document findings, and support healing with dignity.
Why a CAC Makes a Difference
Communities with a CAC see measurable benefits, including:
Faster follow-up on abuse reports

"I like that they have a family room for parents and kids. I also liked that they had a fidget in the therapy room that you can play with and a weighted bear that can keep you company. They listen to you and what you are saying also l like that if you are uncomfortable you can say whether you want to stop"
